外表較有吸引力的人，就習慣用吸引力來評估他人的價值。
較沒有吸引力的人，比較重視用 kindness, intelligence, and sense of humour 來看其他的人。

Dan Ariely, New York Times best-selling author and professor of behavioral economics at MIT’s Program, has spent the last decade investigating what traits matter in sexual selection.

His findings probably won’t surprise you. The two biggest factors for women choosing men were height and earning potential. A woman’s BMI swayed men — approximately 18.5 was the ideal. (Note: 18.5 is a slightly underweight BMI, so we clearly have a distorted view of what is healthy.) Conversely, while women looked to education and income level in a potential mate, a woman’s education level and salary did not increase her attractiveness. Shocker.

But what you might find surprising is who rated these physical attributes the most important — hot people. Ariely found that the more attractive a person was, the more likely they were to value others’ attractiveness. While unattractive people were more likely to value traits such as kindness, intelligence, and a sense of humor.

That’s right. Sorry beautiful ones, but you are a tad shallow.
Ok, maybe shallow is a bit harsh. This is known as assortative mating — a form of sexual selection in which individuals choose only mates with similar traits. So you are only acting as dumb as your Homo erectus ancestors.
